Hi,
I’m Shiv, a 35-year-old from Delhi. I’ve worked as a freelance professional across photography, visual storytelling, and music since I was 18.
I love exploring the interplay between images, text, and sound in the 'expanded field' of photography but what truly fascinates me is the study of image creation processes and their evolution across various domains of visual expression. I'm particularly interested in the art of creating, interpreting and manipulating images to craft compelling narratives.
I enjoy creating a diverse range of images, from still photographs to moving images, spanning various genres - product photography, hospitality, corporate and industrial videos, branding campaigns and advertising. I also continue to work on long-term projects and create handmade photobooks.
My work has been featured in The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, National Geographic, BBC, Conde Nast, Harper’s Bazaar, Rolling Stone India, NME and many others. I’ve also worked with brands including IKEA, Pernod Ricard, Crocs, Perfora, Lumax, SRF, Kim Seybert, The Claridges and Jubilant FoodWorks among others, both directly and through agencies and production houses.
On a different note, I've also had the privilege of serving as the Deputy to the Spokesperson of the Office of Strategic Communications and Public Affairs at the United Nations Mission in Kosovo, where over two years I worked on various projects including a docu-fiction film and multiple solutions-focussed video stories - But that’s a story for another time!
Feel free to get in touch, and I'll help determine if I'm the right fit for your project. If not, I can connect you with my network of equally experienced creatives who are eager to get cracking!
